During the meeting, Tinubu expressed gratitude for the Senate’s collaboration since his assumption of office. He acknowledged the efficient handling of the budget by the Senate and assured them of his understanding of the budget’s arithmetic. Tinubu stressed the need for the integrity of the National Assembly to remain intact, despite challenges.
Tinubu also discussed the nation’s economic progress, expressing optimism about overcoming current challenges. He highlighted improvements in revenue and emphasized the importance of managing expenditures efficiently. Additionally, Tinubu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing security concerns, particularly in light of recent attacks on soldiers in Delta State, vowing to uphold the integrity of the armed forces and ensure justice for the perpetrators.
