Three students were shot at a Secondary School located 500 meters from Wike’s residence in the FCT
According to information received by DWORLDGIST, three students at Lifecamp Government Secondary School in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have been victims of gunfire.
Allegedly, the perpetrators responsible for shooting the students were a group of boys armed with guns.
A reliable source in the know informed our correspondent that the unfortunate incident occurred within the school premises on Thursday.
The occurrence took place at a distance of 500 meters from the home of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
In a conversation with DWORLDGIST, the informant conveyed that instances of gun violence have become a regular annual event at the school.
The source stated, “Troublemakers entered the school armed, leading to a confrontation; three students were shot, and the police response was delayed.”
“I wonder if you can bring attention to this problem; it’s disheartening that such incidents are occurring in the central area of Abuja involving young children, and there’s a lack of action or commentary on the matter. It appears to be an annual occurrence where something tragic must happen at that school.
“There was blood everywhere, and parents were grieving intensely. Lifecamp Government Secondary School is situated directly across from Lifecamp Police Station and approximately 500 meters from the Federal Capital Territory Minister’s residence. This is a recurrence of what transpired yesterday, and it sadly repeats regularly.”
The FCT Police Command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, affirmed the occurrence when approached by DWORLDGIST.
“I can verify that an event took place there, and the Commissioner of Police has instructed an inquiry,” Adeh stated.
