Man Stabbed to Death in Ogun State Following Loan Dispute

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday in the Ijeun Titun area of Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State as a man identified as Remi was stabbed to death during an argument over a loan dispute. According to an anonymous source, the altercation began when individuals suspected to be loan sharks confronted Remi, leading to a heated exchange.

The situation escalated quickly, with Remi engaging in a verbal altercation with three individuals named Seyi, Ayeke, and Bado. As tensions flared, Remi was fatally stabbed in the neck by one of the individuals involved. The severity of the wound resulted in significant blood loss, ultimately leading to Remi’s untimely demise.

Following the tragic incident, Seyi and Ayeke fled the scene, leaving Bado behind. Community members promptly apprehended Bado and handed him over to the police. The community is now on the lookout for Seyi, who is wanted for his alleged involvement in Remi’s death.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, disclosed that an investigation into the suspected murder has been launched. She emphasized the commitment of law enforcement authorities to ensuring that justice is served and affirmed that anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law.
