German actor Christian Oliver lost 2 daughters in a plane crash

German-born Hollywood actor Christian Oliver, known for his roles in films such as “The Good German” and “Speed Racer,” tragically lost his life along with his two young daughters in a devastating plane crash into the Caribbean Sea shortly after takeoff, as reported by local police.

The incident occurred on Thursday when Oliver, 51, was aboard a privately owned single-engine aircraft flying from Bequia to St. Lucia.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force confirmed the deaths of Oliver, his daughters Madita (10) and Annik (12), and the pilot, Robert Sachs.

Fishermen, divers, and the coast guard promptly responded to the crash site, recovering four bodies. The family, seemingly on vacation, had recently shared an Instagram post by Oliver featuring a tropical beach and the caption: “Greetings from somewhere in paradise! To community and loveā€¦ 2024 [here] we come!”

Christian Oliver, born Christian Klepser, had an extensive career with over 60 movie and TV credits, including a small role in the Tom Cruise film “Valkyrie.”

His early-career roles encompassed the TV series “Saved by the Bell: The New Class” and the movie “The Baby-Sitters Club.” In Germany, Oliver gained recognition for his two-season stint in the popular cop show “Alarm fur Cobra 11.”
