General Musa celebrates Christmas with wounded troops in Sokoto
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, on Tuesday, visited Sokoto to celebrate Christmas with wounded personnel and other troops engaged in various operations in the area.
He commended their bravery and sacrifice in defending the nation against its enemies.
He also called on Nigerians to support the Armed Forces of Nigeria in the spirit of the festive season and the New Year. He said the Nigerian Army was proud of all its personnel and would always stand by them.
He urged the wounded personnel to see their situation as part of their destiny and assured them of the army’s continuous assistance to help them recover and return to service.
He expressed his gratitude to the armed forces and Nigerians for their unwavering commitment and solidarity. He said the nation owed a debt of gratitude to its uniformed heroes.
He encouraged the troops to face the challenges with unity and courage, saying their bravery would not go unnoticed. He prayed that the festive spirit would bind the nation as one and that the warmth of shared destiny would resonate beyond the season.
