The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has denounced the Nigerian government for imposing hardships on both lecturers and students.
At a press conference held on Friday at the University of Lagos by the Lagos Zone of ASUU, Zonal Coordinator Prof. Adelaja Odukoya emphasized the need to update the public on developments since the last nationwide strike, which was suspended on October 14, 2022. Odukoya highlighted ASUU’s ongoing engagements with the current administration and warned of potential consequences if authorities fail to take significant action. ASUU has repeatedly decried the government’s failure to honor previous agreements with lecturers.
