Adamu, Al-Makura, Sule at court for Nasarawa judgment

The presence of key political figures is noted as former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, ex-Governor of Nasarawa State Tanko Al-Makura, and the current governor, Abdul Sule, attend the Supreme Court proceedings on Friday.

The judgment for the Nasarawa state governorship is expected today, with the governorship appeal being a significant case before the apex court.

Previously, the tribunal had removed Governor Abdullahi Sule and declared David Ombugadu of the PDP as the winner of the March 18, 2023 election.

However, the appeal court reinstated Sule, emphasizing that the tribunal erred in relying on the evidence of eight PDP witnesses, whose statements were not presented alongside the petition.

It’s noteworthy that, in the decisions made thus far, no governor has been ousted from office. As of the current report, the justices are yet to arrive at the court.
