An Israeli man, believed to be held hostage in Gaza, was announced as killed on October 7, according to the kibbutz
In a tragic turn of events, Dror Kaplun, a 68-year-old resident of Kibbutz Be’eri who was presumed to be held hostage in Gaza, was killed on October 7 during a terror attack launched by Hamas, as announced by his kibbutz on Thursday.
The kibbutz did not specify when Israeli authorities conveyed the news of his death or provide details about the exact location of the incident.
His wife, Marcel Frailich Kaplun, also lost her life in the same attack on October 7, as previously disclosed by the kibbutz.
Following the incident, the hostages’ families forum released a statement revealing that Kaplun’s children had seen a video in which he and his wife were taken by militants, tied up, and positioned toward the fence of the kibbutz.
CNN has reached out to the Israeli Prime Minister’s office for additional details on this tragic incident.
