Abimiku, the ex-commissioner of health in Nasarawa, has passed away
Nasarawa State, Nigeria – In a somber turn of events, Dr Bawa Ahmed Abimiku, the former Commissioner of Health in Nasarawa State, has sadly passed away.
A family source confirmed the news, stating that Dr Abimiku, who also held the revered traditional title of Durbin Eggon, succumbed to a prolonged illness in the early hours of Tuesday, December 19, at the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi.
Dr Abimiku played a pivotal role in the health sector, contributing significantly to the development and enhancement of healthcare services in Nasarawa State.
His dedication to public service was evident as he served not only as the Commissioner of Health but also as a distinguished Member of the State Executive Council (SEC) during the tenure of the late Alhaji (Dr) Aliyu Akwe Doma.

The family has announced that the burial ceremony for Dr Bawa Ahmed Abimiku is scheduled to take place at the Abuja Central Mosque, FCT, at 2:00 pm in accordance with Islamic traditions.
