FCT Police Dispatch Officers to High-End School in Abuja

Mr. PengChao Zhang, a Chinese national who also goes by the name Williams Kaka, has been successfully rescued by the Kwara State Police Command after enduring approximately 10 days in the clutches of kidnappers within the state’s forest. This operation, conducted by police operatives in collaboration with the Vigilante and Tactical team, culminated in Zhang’s liberation from captivity on Tuesday. Reports indicate that Zhang was abducted by a gang of six armed men while staying at the Cherish Guest House situated in Eyenkorin, on the outskirts of Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara State.

Zhang’s ordeal began when he was forcefully taken from the guest house, where he had been staying for over two months, engaged in business activities. The swift action of the Kwara State Police Command following the kidnapping incident led to a coordinated effort, resulting in the safe rescue of the victim on March 19, 2024. The successful operation marks a significant breakthrough for law enforcement agencies, as concerns and fear gripped the community following Zhang’s abduction.

In a statement released by the Kwara State Police Command, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, the rescue of Mr. PengChao Zhang was confirmed. The statement highlighted the diligent efforts of the Command’s Tactical Teams and vigilantes, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors within Kwara State. Zhang has since been reunited unharmed with his family, bringing relief to his loved ones and the broader community.
