Atiku Refutes Allegations of PDP Departure

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has vehemently denied rumors suggesting his departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), labeling such claims as “pure mischief, devoid of truth.” In a statement released on Tuesday, Atiku addressed the speculations that he had abandoned the PDP, asserting that they were false and propagated by malicious individuals. He emphasized his unwavering allegiance to the party while advocating for the swift consolidation of opposition forces, underscoring the critical importance of unity in the current political landscape.

He emphasized the necessity of leaders prioritizing effective governance over political maneuvering, calling for a collective effort to propel Nigeria forward and leave behind the distractions posed by political opportunism.

Additionally, Atiku revealed that his media team is actively combating the false narrative surrounding his purported departure from the PDP. He urged stakeholders to remain vigilant against such baseless claims and emphasized the imperative of ensuring that the pursuit of power does not overshadow the mandate of effective governance. Atiku concluded by rallying support for a united effort to move Nigeria forward, calling on citizens to reject the antics of political opportunists and prioritize the nation’s progress above personal agendas.
