The news of Ibrahim’s demise has sparked mourning across the state, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressing shock and sadness. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, the governor extended his heartfelt condolences to Ibrahim’s family, the people of Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area, and the Peoples Democratic Party. AbdulRazaq emphasized the reminder of the unpredictability of death and its universal nature, urging everyone to cherish every moment.
Born on December 12, 1966, Rafiu Ibrahim served as a senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District in the Eighth National Assembly from 2015 to 2019 under the leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki. Notably, he chaired the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions, where he contributed to legislative efforts. Throughout his tenure, Ibrahim sponsored six bills and supervised eight others, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to his constituents and the nation.
