Kwara Sets NECO Fee at N28,500, Cautions Against Unauthorized Charges

The Kwara State Government has issued a stern warning to Senior Secondary School Principals across the state regarding unauthorized fees for National Examination Council (NECO) registration for prospective students appearing for the 2024 exams.

During the launch of the registration process for the 2024 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, delivered a cautionary message.

In a statement released by Peter Amogbonjaye, the Press Secretary in the Ministry, the government outlined the approved fee structure for the 2024 national examination. The total fee per student is set at N28,500, comprising NECO Fee (N22,250), E-registration charges (N1,250), Administrative charges (N2,000), Four-figure table (N500), Waterproof certificate (N500), and Jacket/Folder (N2500), with a strict total payment of N28,500 per candidate.

The commissioner reiterated the government’s stance against any additional charges imposed by principals, stressing adherence to the approved NECO fee set by the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development.
