The National Bureau of Statistics has announced that 1,323 Nigerian citizens lost their lives in road accidents during the fourth quarter of 2023. According to the report from the News Agency of Nigeria, this information was unveiled in the NBS Road Transport Data Q4 2023 Report, released in Abuja on Friday.
The report indicates that there were a total of 2,717 road accidents in Q4 2023, marking a 24.23% increase from Q3 2023, which saw 2,187 incidents. However, in a year-on-year comparison, there was a decrease of 33.12% in traffic accidents from the 3,617 reported in Q4 of 2022.
