Nigeria is bracing for potential fuel scarcity as the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) has announced its intention to suspend the lifting of petroleum products starting next Monday. This decision stems from the soaring operational expenses faced by NARTO members.
The association has voiced persistent worries about the exorbitant cost of diesel needed to fuel their trucks for transporting petroleum products nationwide. Diesel prices, according to oil marketers, currently range from N1,250 to N1,400 per litre, varying based on the region of purchase.
