Samaila Wakili Fafa, known as Habu Ibrahim, one of the two sought-after kidnappers on whom the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, had placed a N20 million bounty, has been apprehended by operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, the arrest took place on February 24, 2024, around 7:05 pm. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives raided Sardauna Forest in Toto, Nasarawa State, leading to his capture.
This follows Wike’s announcement on February 14, 2024, offering a N20 million reward for information leading to the capture of two notorious bandits, including Dahiru Adamu and Abu Ibrahim, who were causing terror in Abuja.
Wike pledged during a meeting with FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh while parading 23 criminal suspects at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki, Abuja.
Earlier, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the FCT Police Command had arrested Saidu Abdulkadir, also known as Dahiru Adamu, one of the wanted kidnappers. The arrest occurred after a raid on two kidnappers’ camps along the border of Nasarawa and Abuja via Kuje Area Council on February 15, 2024, around midnight.
